1. never use when a hero has a spell damage reduction like Butcher, Tauren chieftain and especially when the enemy uses the anti-mage.
2. best used when the opponent's hero is a fellow-intelligence type or the hero has a low hit points(HP) for easy killing.
3. stick to your teammate in your lane.
4. beware of enemy hero with silencing skills!
The Item build
usually, the build for Rylai is mainly for additional mana/MP regen and +HP/Hp regen, but it depends on the user if he/she wants to be a killer, support, push, or harass-type hero.
For killer-type- use dagon2 or 5, lothar's edge, kelen's dagger of escape and any items mentioned below in the late game items
For support type- use guinsoo's scythe of vyse, orchid malevolence, eul's scepter of divinity and any items mentioned in the late game items
For push type- use necronomicon and helm of the dominator (yes i know it is not a right item but it is a right tool for pushing-type) and mekansm
harass type- i pretty much don't know hehehe
Any type
early-game
bracers, ring of basilius, boots of speed(can be built into a phase boots early), and magical bottle+crow
late-game
1.phase boots-for additional speed purposes
2.dagon2 or 5 (optional)-for sure kill!
3.Lothar's edge- for cheap shots, hunting, and running purposes.
or BKB(black king bar)-for anti-skill purposes
4.Aghanim's scepter-to upgrade the ultimate skill(4th skill or special skill)
"upgrade to scepter to get more then one shot, spraying enemies like a peter north c**shot"^^
5.Guinsoo's scythe of vyse- disables the opponent to fight back to gain advantage
6.Linken's sphere-just to get an edge in the spell fight!
optional items:
kelen's dagger of escape, orchid malevolence, refresher orb, black king bar or boots of travel
Skill build
1. master crystal nova(1st skill) first then frostbite(2nd skill0 but use your brilliance aura(3rd skill) in level 5
q:why master 1st and second skill first? why not get freezing field in lvl 6?
a:you need perfection to win with rylai crestfall. the reason you master the first and second skill first is because you can save more mana because the 4th skill of Rylai eats 300 mana in lvl 1. briefly, it is more effective that way in deals of damage, efficiency, and impact in battle...OK?!?!?!
2 after you master the first 2 skills, learn freezing field.
3.now finish the 3rd and 4th skill plus bonus attributes and you're done =)
